| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study was to investigate effect of once day feeding of milk on the growth performance of calves. The material of this study consisted of 24 Kara cabey Brown male calves. Animals were allocated into two groups (experimental and control) and each group consisted of 12 calves. The two groups of calves were fed with same quantities of milk from birth to four mounths of age. A concentrate (18.02 % Digestible Crude-Protein) and alfalfa (13 % DCP) from ten days to end of the trial was offered freely. The experimental group of calves were fed with milk once day. The control group of calves on a conventional feeding programme received same quantities of milk twice daily. Body weights were recorded weekly. The average body weights of the experimental and control group at birth, I., II., III. and IV. months of age were 42.5, 41.9: 53.5, 53.7: 72.3, 73.8; 94.9, 101.8 and 121.3, 131.7 kg., respectively. The daily Live-weight gain of the experimental and control group at I.. II., III. and IV. months were 356.9, 394.4; 625.0, 640.2: 829.1, 916.6 and 880.5, 997.2 grams; respectively. All differences between groups were not significant. The experimental group of calves were consumed a total of 135.2 kg. concentrate and 27.8 kg. alfalfa more than the control group of calves during the trial. None of the experimental calves had diarrhea, bloat and indigestion. It is conduded that the growth performance of calves was not affected by the treatments. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırma, günde bir ve iki öğün süt ile beslemenin buzağıların büyüme performansları üzerine olan etkisini incelemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, günlük süt ihtiyacının bir öğünde verilmesinin buzağıların yem tüketimini etkileyip etkilemediği ve özellikle sindirim sistemi ile ilgili bozuklukların ortaya çıkıp çıkmadığı da araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın materyalini 24 baş Karacabey Esmeri erkek buzağı teşkil etmiştir. Buzağılar ağız sütü ile besleme tamamlandıktan sonra, deneme ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere 12 şer başlık iki gruba ayrılmışlardır. Deneme grubuna günlük süt ihtiyaçları bir öğünde, kontrol grubuna ise sabah ve akşam olmak üzere iki öğünde suni emzirme yöntemi ile verilmiştir. Buzağılar her hafta tartılmışlar ve yem (starter ve kuru yonca) tüketimleri ile sağlık durumları tesbit edilmiştir. Deneme ve Kontrol gruplarının I. ay canlı ağırlıkları, sırası ile, 53.5 ve 53.7 kg II. ay canlı ağırlıkları 72.3 ve 73.8 kg; III. ay canlı ağırlıkları 94.9 ve 101.8 kg; IV. ay canlı ağırlıkları ise 121.3 ve 131.7 kg. olarak tesbit edilmiştir. Gruplar arasındaki farklar istatistiki yönden önemsiz çıkmıştır. Ayrıca deneme ve kontrol gruplarında doğum-I.ay, I-II. ay, T/-III. ay ve III-IV. ay arasındaki günlük canlı ağırlık artışları da hesap edilmiştir. Günlük canlı ağırlık artışı bakımından da gruplar arası farklar önemsiz bulunmuştur. Deneme grubunu oluşturan buzağılar, 135.2 kg. starter ve 27.7 kg. da kaba yem olmak üzere, kontrol grubundan toplam 162.9 kg. daha fazla yem tüketmişlerdir. Deneme grubunda bulunan buzağılarda ishal, timpani ve sindirim sistemine ilişkin bozukluklar görülmemiştir. | tr_TR |
