dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı Nizam-ı Cedid olarak ifade edilen, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu tarihinin 1789-1807 yılları arasını kapsayan döneminde, bahriyede yapılan yeniliklerin Gemlik Tersanesi'ne etkilerini incelemeye çalışmaktır. Bu maksatla tezin birinci bölümünde Nizam-ı Cedid kavramının içerdiği anlam ve uygulamaları üzerinde durularak, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu tarihinde neyi ifade ettiği belirtilmek istenmiştir.İkinci bölümde ise Osmanlı İmparatorluğu denizcilik tarihinden kısa bir şekilde bahsedilerek, III. Selim'le birlikte gerçekleştirilmeye çalışılan, deniz teknolojisindeki dönüşüm ve ıslahat çalışmaları incelenmiştir.Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise Gemlik Tersanesi'nin tarihine değinilerek, Nizam-ı Cedid döneminde Gemlik Tersanesi'nde yaşanan gelişmeler ele alınmıştır.tr_TR
dc.description.abstractThe main of this study is to try to examine the effects of innovations which were made in navy during the Nizam-ı Cedid era, which covers the years 1789-1807, on the Gemlik Shipyard. For this purpose on the first part of the thesis the meaning and practicies of the Nizam-ı Cedid notion are dwelt on and by this way it is intended to express what it represents in the Ottoman History.In the second part, the Ottoman Empire naval history is discoursed on briefly and the transformation and reform efforts on the sea technology in the Selim III era are examined.In the third and the last part, the history of Gemlik Shipyard is mentioned and the developments in the Gemlik Shipyard which are made in Nizam-ı Cedid era are discussed.en_US
