Abstract
Bu tezde temel olarak 1872- 1950 yılları arasında yazılan romanlarda azınlıkların hangi sıklıkta ve ne biçimde yer aldığı konusu arastırılmıstır. Yazarların azınlıkları anlatırken hangi bakıs açısıyla değerlendirdikleri ve bu değerlendirmenin zaman içinde değisip değismediği arastırılmıs ve varsa değisimin sebepleri ortaya konmaya çalısılmıstır. Bu inceleme Giris, Türk Romanında Azınlıklar ve Sonuç olmak üzere üç bölümden olusmaktadır. Giris bölümünde azınlık kavramının dünyadaki gelisimi tespite çalısılmıstır. Đslâm tarihinde, Avrupa’da ve Osmanlı Devleti’nde azınlıkların yasayısları ve devlet içindeki toplumsal ve siyasi statüleri ortaya konmaya çalısılmıstır. Türk Romanında Azınlıklar bölümünde ise kronolojik bir okumayla romanlarda yer alan azınlık karakterler veya onlarla ilgili unsurlar tespit edilmistir. Bu tespit sonucunda azınlıklar Rumlar, Ermeniler ve Yahudiler olmak üzere üç baslık altında değerlendirilmistir. Roman kahramanlarının toplumsal çevresiyle incelenmesi hedeflenmistir. Karakter veya vaka çözümlemelerinde azınlıkların toplumsal, kültürel, ekonomik, siyasi vb. yasantıları çalısmanın esasını teskil etmis, yerli karakter veya vaka çözümlemelerine azınlıklarla ilgili olduğu ölçüde yer verilmistir. Elde edilen tespitler ve bulgular Sonuç bölümünde değerlendirilmistir. Đncelenen romanlarda azınlıklara bakısın zamanla değistiği tespit edilmistir. Yasanılan devrin siyasi olaylarının Müslümanlarla azınlıklar arasındaki toplumsal iliskiyi yaralaması azınlıklara bakısın olumludan olumsuza doğru değismesinde en önemli etken olmustur.
It was researched in this thesis that in which frequency and in what forms minorities (non-muslims) took part in Turkish novels written between 1872-1950. It was pointed out that from which point of view the authors evaluated the minorities and whether their evaluations changed or not in the course of time and what the reasons of change were if it was. This study has three parts containing introduction, minorities –non muslims in Turkish novel and conclusion. The rise of minority concept in the world was mentioned in the introduction part. The life of the minorities and their political and social status in the history of Islam and Europe and the Ottoman State was brought out. Minority or non muslim characters and the elements related to them were determined in the part of minorities in Turkish novel. According to this evaluation minorities was classified as Greeks, Armenians and Jews. The aim of the study was to evaluate the heroes in the novels within their social environment. The social, cultural, economical and political life of the minorities was the base of the study in the case and character analysis. Native characters and the case analysis related to them were taken into consideration as they were concerning the minorities. Obtaining results were evaluated in the part of conclusion. It was noticed that the view about the minorities changed in the course of time. The political events of the era that affected the social relationship between minorities and non muslims badly were the basic factors for change about the view for minorities from positive to negative.
