Abstract
Yerel tarih çalışmalarının önem kazanmasıyla, değişim sürecinin izlenebileceği idâri birimlerden olan köy, mahalle, kaza ve şehir tarihi üzerine pek çok çalışma yapılmaktadır. 19. Yüzyılda Kirmasti (Mustafakemalpaşa) Kazası'nın Sosyo-Ekonomik Durumu isimli bu tez çalışmasının temel problemi, Kirmasti Kazası'nda 19. Yüzyıl boyunca sosyo-ekonomik yönden yaşanan değişimi tespit etmek ve kaza tarihinin aydınlanmamış noktalarını ele almaktır.Genellikle tek kaynak türüne dayalı olarak yapılan yerel tarih çalışmalarının aksine, bu çalışmada değişimin yüzyıla olan etkilerini detaylı olarak inceleyebilmek için üç farklı tür kaynak kullanılmıştır. Bunlar, 1844 tarihli temettûat defterleri, Hudâvendigâr Vilâyeti Sâlnâmeleri ve Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi'nde bulunan Kirmasti Kazası ile ilgili belgelerdir. İncelenen kaynaklardan elde edilen veriler çerçevesinde 19. Yüzyıl sürecinde Kirmasti Kazası'nın idâri yapısındaki değişimler ele alınmış, demografik yapısı incelenmiş, sosyal hayatın bir parçası olan esnaf teşekkülleri ve eğitim kurumları üzerinde durulmuş, gelir kaynakları çerçevesinde ekonomik faaliyetler ve vergilendirme sistemi detaylı bir şekilde irdelenmiş, son olarak da sosyo- ekonomik hayatı etkileyen olaylar üzerinde değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.
With studies of local history that gained importance, many studies have been made on the history of village, quarter, district and city that are the administrative units of which the process of change can be followed. The basic problem of this thesis study named the Socio-Economic Situation of Kirmasti (Mustafakemalpaşa) district in the 19th century is to determine the socio-economic change experienced in Kirmasti district in the century of 19th and to discuss non-enlighten subjects in history of the district.In contrary to the local history studies generally made by depending on a single source type, in this study, three different kinds of sources were used to examine the effects of change on the century in detail. These are temettûat notebooks dated 1844, Hudâvendigâr Province Yearbooks and documents related to Kirmasti district kept in the Prime Ministry Ottoman Archive. Within the framework data obtained from the examined sources, changes in the administrative structure of Kirmasti district in the century of 19th were discussed, its demographic structure was examined, tradesmen organizations and education institutions were emphasized, economical activities and taxation system within framework of income sources were studied in detail and finally, evaluations were made on events that effected the socio-economic life.
