Abstract

A 19-year-old woman with pathologically documented papillary thyroid carcinoma and lymph node metastases underwent anterior neck scans using Tc-99m pertechnetate, Tl-201, and Tc-99m sestamibi. Results from Tc-99m sestamibi scans provided the clearest image of the carcinoma and its metastases. It also showed an upper-left thoracic lymph node not detected with Tl-201.
