Abstract

Clinico-pathological alterations before and after treatment in cattle infected with A. marginale were determined. Anorexia inappetence, anaemia, icterus, nasal discharge, increase in rectal temperature, heart and respiration rates, and enlargement of the prescapular lymph nodes were noticed. Significant increase in Hb and PCV levels, the relative number of band neutrophils, albumin and glucose concentration and significant decrease in ESR were observed after treatment. Clinical recovery was gained in all cattle within a period of ten days.
