Abstract
İnsanlık tarihi kadar eski bir problem olan kader hakkındaki tartışmalar İslâm coğrafyasına erken denebilecek bir tarihte girmiştir. Hicrî ikinci asır başlarında şiddetlenen tartışma, birinci asır sonu itibariyle fırkalar arasında ilk tartışmalara konu olmakta ve ilk İslam mütefekkiri denilebilecek zevat arasında tartışılmaktaydı. Bu makale, hicrî üçüncü asrın İslâm âlimi İbn Küllâb el-Basrî’nin konu hakkındaki görüşlerini ele alacaktır.
Debate on predestination is as old as the history of human beings and it appeared in the Islamic thought in an early time. Although this debate became heated in the beginning of the second century A. H., the problem of free will and predestination had already been under discussion among theological sects and early Muslim thinkers at the end of the first century A. H. This article deals with one of the Muslim thinkers of the third century A. H., Ibn Kullâb al-Basrî’s view of predestination.
