Abstract
Çalışmamızda Abdülbâki Ârif Efendi’nin İstanbul Kütüphanelerinde Türkçe Tarih Coğrafya Yazmaları bölümünde 733 no’lu Arşiv numarasıyla kayıtlı bulunan Halet Efendi koleksiyonuna ait olan nüshayı inceledik. Bu nüshayı tercih etmemizdeki sebep, sayfa sayılarının düzenli ve takip edilebiliyor olmasının yanında daha kolay okunabiliyor olmasıydı. Nüshanın müstensihi bilinmemektedir. 142 varak’tır (yaprak). 21 satırlı ve ince talik hatla yazılmıştır. Müellifin hattatlığı, kazaskerliği, şairliği, mûsikişinaslığı gibi hayatına dâir ayrıntılar, pek çok çalışmaya konu olmuş ve değerli araştırmacılarımız tarafından detaylı bilgiler verilmiştir. O nedenle biz burada müellifimizin hayatı ve diğer eserleriyle ilgili genel bir bilgi verip, temel konumuz olan Siyer-i Ârif’in içeriğine yoğunlaştık. Ârif Efendi’nin âlim kimliğinin ötesinde bir de edebiyatçı kimliğinin olması, eserinde ağır edebi bir üslup kullanmasını kaçınılmaz hale getirmiştir. Bu durumun bir gereği olarak eserde karşımıza sık sık Farsça beyitler çıkmaktadır. Ancak beyitleri incelemeyi İslam Edebiyatı bilim dalıyla ilgilenen öğrencilere bırakıp, asıl alanımız olan metin bölümünü tetkik etmeyi çalışmamızın merkezine koyduk. Müellifimizin kendi dönemine kadar yazılagelen bütün siyer kaynaklarından istifâde ederek kaleme aldığı bu kıymetli eseri, okuyucuya tanıtmak öncelikli hedefimiz olmakla birlikte; salt bir Siyer metni olmaktan çok öte olan bu eser hakkında yeni çalışmalara kapı aralama ümidini taşıyoruz. Büyük emekler verilerek ortaya konulan her bir yazma eseri incelemenin, İslam tarihi araştırmalarında ayrı bir önemi olduğu yadsınamaz bir gerçektir.
In this thesis we studied the edition of Prophet Muhammad’s life from the collection of Halet Efendi which is registered as number 733 in archives of Abdulbaki Arif Efendi’s Istanbul libraries in the department of Turkish Historic and Geographic manuscrpits. The copyist of above edition is unknown. It consists of 142 pages. Every page has 21 lines which are written with fine “Talik” handwriting. The reason behind the preference of this edition is not only clearance of its handwriting but with that it’s numbers of pages are given systematically and orderly. The calligraphy of the author, his military judgment, his poetry, his musicianship and other social activities of him are studied by many valuable researchers. That’s why in this thesis firstly we briefly gave information about his life and his writings after that we intensified on our main topic which is the life of Prophet (PBUH) by Arif. Because of Arif Efendi’s literate identity alongside his scholarship, his way of expression in his writings is very difficult. That’s why we find many Persian staves in his book. We left analysis of that staves to the students of Islamic literature department and tried to look through the text part of the book which is the basic aim of this study. The author wrote this book by utilizing all the resources which were related to the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) until his era. Although, our first aim was to introduce this book to young generation, we tried to give rise to these type of studies which have much more than the information about the life of Prophet Muhammad. This is the fact that this study which is donewith big exertions has the separate importance in history of Islam.
