Abstract
Erkek hayvanlarda fertilitenin değerlendirilmesinde ve reprodüktif hastalıkların tanısında seminal plazmanın biyokimyasal değerlendirilmesi önemli bir kriterdir. Seminal plazmanın biyokimyasal bileşiminde anormallik olması, erkek köpeklerdeki infertilite problemini anlamak için seminal plazma içeriği üzerindeki çalışmalara daha fazla yoğunlaşılması gerektiğini göstermektedir. Seminal plazmada kalsiyum, magnezyum gibi iz elementlerin anormal düzeyleri spermatozoa üretimini, olgunlaşmasını, motilitesini, fertilizasyon kapasitesini ve spermatogenezisi etkileyebilmektedir. Sonuç olarak, bu derlemede erkek köpeklerde infertilite problemlerinin saptanmasında seminal plazma içeriğinin de araştırılması gerekliliği üzerinde durulmuştur.
Biochemical evaluation of seminal plasma is an important criteria in assessing fertility levels and for diagnosing male reproductive disorders. The idea that abnormal biochemical composition of seminal plasma might be used to determine infertility problems in male dogs draws more interest to the research about the constituents of seminal plasma. Abnormal levels of trace elements such as calcium and magnesium in seminal plasma may affect spermatogenesis with regard to production, maturation, motility and fertilizing capacity of spermatozoa. In conclusion, this review indicate that the investigation of constituents of seminal plasma should be required to detect the infertility problems in male dogs.
