Türkiye’de lisans ve lisansüstü düzeyde verilen çocuklarla felsefe derslerine yönelik bir inceleme

Abstract

Çocuklarla felsefe çocuklarda var olan merak ve sorgulama arzusunu harekete geçirip evrensel kavramlardan hareketle çocuğun akıl yürütme yetisini arttırmaya çalışan bir yaklaşım ve yöntemdir. Eleştirel düşünme, problem çözme gibi 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin geliştirilmesi açısından önemi her geçen gün daha fazla anlaşılan çocuklarla felsefeye yönelik dersler günümüzde okulöncesi kademeden lisansüstü düzeye kadar öğretim süreçlerine dahil edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de lisans ve lisansüstü düzeydeki çocuklarla felsefe derslerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nitel modelde bütüncül çoklu durum deseni olarak tasarlanmıştır. İçerik analizi yapılan çalışmada Türkiye’de lisans ve lisansüstü düzeyde çocuklarla felsefeye yönelik dokuz ders olduğu ve tüm derslerin programlarda farklı isimlerle yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Çocuklarla felsefe kapsamında lisans düzeyinde yedi, yüksek lisans düzeyinde iki ders olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmanın sonucunda farklı disiplinlerin öğretim programlarında çocuklarla felsefeye yönelik dersler verdiği, bu derslerin içeriklerinin ve öğrenim çıktılarının verildiği disipline göre farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarının yüksek öğrenim düzeyinde verilecek çocuklarla felsefe dersleri için yol göstereceği olacağı düşünülmektedir.Philosophy with children is an approach and method aimed at stimulating the innate curiosity and questioning desire in children, while enhancing their ability to reason based on universal concepts. The importance of philosophy with children is increasingly recognized for the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving, and lessons related to philosophy with children are now being incorporated into educational processes from preschool to postgraduate levels. This study aims to examine undergraduate and graduate level philosophy for children’s courses in Turkey. The research was designed as a holistic multiple case design within a qualitative model. Through content analysis, it was determined that there are nine courses for philosophy for children at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Turkey, each with different names in the programs. Within the scope of philosophy for children, seven courses were found at the undergraduate level, while two courses were identified at the master's level. The research findings indicate that philosophy with children is taught across various disciplines, and the content and learning outcomes of these courses vary depending on the discipline in which they are offered. It is thought that the research results will guide philosophy with children’s courses at the higher education level.
