Lett. 20 (2010) 3394](Pergamon-Elsevier Science, 2010-09-15) Bridoux, Alexandre; Cui, Huadong; Dyskin, Evgeny; Schmitzer, Andreea Ruxandra; Mousa, Shaker A.; Yalçın, Murat; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Veterinerlik Fakültesi/Temel Bilimler Bölümü.; 0000-0002-5600-8162; AAG-6956-2021; 57192959734Item Open Access Environmental distribution of Cryptococcus neoformans and C. gattii around the Mediterranean basin(Oxford University, 2016-05-04) Akçağlar, Sevim; Töre, Okan; Uludağ Üniversite/Tıp Fakültesi.; 0000-0002-4759-9634; 6506194958; 6505909596In order to elucidate the distribution of Cryptococcus neoformans and C. gattii in the Mediterranean basin, an extensive environmental survey was carried out during 2012–2015. A total of 302 sites located in 12 countries were sampled, 6436 samples from 3765 trees were collected and 5% of trees were found to be colonized by cryptococcal yeasts. Cryptococcus neoformans was isolated from 177 trees and C. gattii from 13. Cryptococcus neoformans colonized 27% of Ceratonia, 10% of Olea, Platanus and Prunus trees and a lower percentage of other tree genera. The 13 C. gattii isolates were collected from five Eucalyptus, four Ceratonia, two Pinus and two Olea trees. Cryptococcus neoformans was distributed all around the Mediterranean basin, whereas C. gattii was isolated in Greece, Southern Italy and Spain, in agreement with previous findings from both clinical and environmental sources. Among C. neoformans isolates, VNI was the prevalent molecular type but VNII, VNIV and VNIII hybrid strains were also isolated. With the exception of a single VGIV isolate, all C. gattii isolates were VGI. The results confirmed the presence of both Cryptococcus species in the Mediterranean environment, and showed that both carob and olive trees represent an important niche for these yeasts.Item Open Access Numerical investigation of the effect of variable baffle spacing on the thermal performance of a shell and tube heat exchanger(MDPI, 2017-12-04) Bayram, Halil; Sevilgen, Gökhan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Mühendislik Fakültesi/Otomotiv Mühendisliği Bölümü.; 0000-0002-7746-2014; ABG-3444-2020The authors wish to make the following corrections to this paper [1]: On page 3, Equation (8) should be changed from: Nu = (f/2)·Re·Pr/1.07 × 12.7 × (f/2)2 × (Pr0.66 -1) (8) to the following correct version: Nu = (f/2) )·Re)·Pr/1.07 + 12.7)·(f/2)1/2)· (Pr2/3 - 1) (8) The authors would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused to the readers by these changes.Item Open Access The simulation results of signal fluctuation for micromegas-like gaseous detector(Springer, 2013-03) Demir, Nilgün; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Fizik Anabilim Dalı.; 0000-0003-2245-8461; AAH-3156-2021; 7006874016Item Open Access Structural and neurochemical evaluation of the brain and pons in patients with Wilson's disease (vol 28, pg 663, 2010)(Springer, 2011-01) Algın, Oktay; Taşkapılıoğlu, Özlem; Hakyemez, Bahattin; Ocakoğlu, Gökhan; Yurtoğulları, Şükran; Erer, Sevda; Parlak, Müfit; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Tıp Fakültesi/Nöroloji Anabilim Dalı.; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Tıp Fakültesi/Biyoistatistik Anabilim Dalı.; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Tıp Fakültesi/Radyoloji Anabilim Dalı.; 0000-0002-3425-0740; AAH-5180-2021; AAI-2318-2021; AAK-6623-2020; 23037226400; 6602527239; 15832295800; 36873746200; 25635370800; 7003589220Item Metadata only Validation of breast cancer nomograms for predicting the non-sentinel lymph node metastases after a positive sentinel lymph node biopsy in a multi-center study (vol 36, pg 30, 2010)(Elsevier, 2011-05) Gür, Serhat; Ünal, Bülent; Özbek, Umut; Özmen, Vahit; Aydoǧan, Fatih; Güllüoǧlü, Bahadır Mahmut; Aksaz, Erol; Özbaş, Serdar Mustafa; Başkan, Semih; Koyuncu, Ayhan; Soran, Atilla; Gökgöz, Şehsuvar; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Tıp Fakültesi/Genel Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı.; 6603238737Item Open Access Which is worse?
