Bu amaçla araştırma alanını temsil edebilecek şekilde 25 adet toprak örneği alınmış ve bu örneklerin bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre topraklar genellikle kil tekstürlü, nötr ve hafif alkalin pH’da, değişik miktarlarda kireç içermekte olup, tuzluluk sorunu yoktur. Toprakların, toplam N, değişebilir K, yarayışlı P, DTPA+TEA ile ekstrakte edilen Fe ve Zn kapsamları yönünden yeterli, değişebilir Ca ve Mg ile DTPA+TEA ile ekstrakte edilen Mn ve Cu açısından oldukça zengin olduğu, ancak toprakların % 80’ninin organik madde yönünden yetersiz düzeyde olduğu ortaya konulmuştur.This research was carried out to determine the fertility levels of the soils of Vertisol great soil group in Bursa province. For this purpose, 25 soil samples were taken from research area. Some physical and chemical properties were determined in these samples. According to the results of this study, the soils were mostly clay textured, had neutral and slightly alkaline pH and contained different amounts of lime. There was no problem of salinity in the soils.
