Materials & methods: This was a population-based, cross-sectional study. Four hundred and ninety two people addressing to three different health centers have been contributed to study by a written informed consent during September, 2004 and November, 2004. Subjects completed a questionnaire assessing their marriages. Results analyzed in SPSS 11.0. T-test, covariance, linear regression and descriptive statistics used. Results: Of subjects, 88 % were women and 12 % men. Mean age was 42.5 +/- 10.34(SD). Wedding age and marriage duration found higher in men than women. Youth prefers flirting more than elder people do. Violence found in 13.5 % of subjects: all women. Divorce thought by 22.6 % of the subjects in any time of marriage.
