Laboratuar değerleri, herhangi bir yakınması olmayan ve oral-glukoz-tolerans-testi (OGTT) ile diyabetik olmadığı saptanan 30 kişilik kontrol grubu ile karşılaştırıldı. Hem A hemde B gruplarında belirgin hipertrigliseridemi ve hiperkolesterolemi saptandı. A grubunda lipit elektroforezinde alfa bantları anlamlı derecede azalmıştır. A ve B gruplarının özellikleri erkeklerinde HDL-kolesterol anlamlı derecede düşük bulundu.General clinical biochemistry values and especially lipid metabolism were investigated in 36 cases of Diabetes Mellitus (A-15 insulin dependent cases, B-15 cases who were using oral antidiabetics, C-6 cases who were under diet control). Laboratory values were compared to 30 healthy controls who were shown to be non-diabetic as a result of oral glucose tolerance test. Hypertrigliceridemia and hypercholesterolemia were found to be most prominent in groups A and B. In lipid electrophoresis alpha bands were significantly decreased in group A.
