Sentezlenen bileşiklerin yapıları, elementel analiz, UV-vis, IR, ve X-ışını tek kristal yöntemleriyle aydınlatıldı. Elde edilen kristallerin biyolojik aktivite sonuçlarına dayanarak farmakolojik etkisi saptandı. C₁₉H₁₃N₃NiO₅.H₂O, C₁₄H₁₂N₂NiO₁₁, C₁₉H₁₃N₃CoO₅. 2H₂O ve C₁₄H₁₈N₅O₁₂Co₂ sentezlenen dört komplekse ait ligantların, Ni(II) ve Co(II) iyonları çevresinde bozulmuş oktahedral geometri oluşturduğu görüldü. Komplekslerin IR spektrumlarından hareketle yapıları ve spektrumlar arasında bağlantı kuruldu. Komplekslerin UV-görünür bölge spektrumlarında Ni(II) ve Co(II) komplekslerinde görünür bölgede gözlenen soğurmaların d-d geçişlerinden kaynakla dığıbelirlendi. Komplekslerin sitotoksik etkinliği ise XTT yöntemi ile in vitro olarak araştırıldı.In this study, four Ni(II) and Co(II)-2,6-Pyridinedicarboxylic acid complexes were synthesized. The structural characterization of the synthesized compounds was elucidated through elemental analysis, UV-vis, IR, and X-ray single crystal methods. The pharmacological effect of the obtained crystals was determined based on the result of biological activity. C₁₉H₁₃N₃NiO₅.H₂O, C₁₄H₁₂N₂NiO₁₁, C₁₉H₁₃N₃CoO₅.2H₂O, C₁₄H₁₈N₅O₁₂Co₂, The ligands belonging to the four synthesized complexes were observed to form distorted octahedral geometry around Ni(II) and Co(II) ions. By analyzing the IR spectra of the complexes, a correlation was established between the structures and spectra of the complexes. The absorptions observed in the visible region of the UV-visible spectra of Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes were attributed to d-d transitions.
