Patients may present with non-specific abdominal pain and renal colic. Organ functions can be preserved by means of endovascular treatment when early diagnosis is possible. Acute occlusion of renal arteries must be considered in the differential diagnosis of acute flank pain. This paper presents successful endovascular treatment of thromboembolic renal artery occlusion in two cases.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessCardiovascular system & cardiologyHematologyAcute renal artery occlusionRenal artery embolismRenal thrombolysisOf-the-literatureThrombolysisInfarctionThrombosisAngiographyDiseaseAcute diseaseAgedDiagnosis, differentialFemaleHumansMaleRenal artery obstructionThromboembolismDiagnosis and endovascular treatment of acute thromboembolic renal artery occlusion presenting with abdominal painArticle0003092388000192-s2.0-8486849186741942434322528329Cardiac & cardiovascular systemsHematologyPeripheral vascular diseaseKidney Artery; Infarction; Fibromuscular DysplasiaHeparinTissue plasminogen activatorAbdominal painAcute thromboembolic renal artery occlusionAgedArterial thromboembolismArtery catheterizationArticleCase reportClinical featureComputed tomographic angiographyComputer assisted tomographyContinuous infusionFemaleHospital admissionHumanImage analysisKidney artery stenosisMalePriority journalRecanalizationTreatment outcome
