The comprehensive treatment approach is the administration of antithyroid drugs and radioactive iodine and thyroidectomy. The treatment option of therapeutic plasmapheresis (TP) should be considered as a stabilizing measure, especially when patients have failed or can not tolerate conventional treatment.
