The factor V Leiden mutation was carried in heterozygous form, homocysteine was elevated at 19.6 mu mol/l, and methylene-tetrahydrofolate reductase C677T mutation was carried in. homozygous form. Moderately increased plasma homocysteine level and a reduced protein S activity were evident. Anticardiolipin IgG antibodies were mildly positive. We conclude that the presence of multiple genetic and environmental risk factors greatly amplifies the risk of clinical thrombotic events.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessFactor V Leiden mutationHereditary thrombophiliaMethylenetetrahydrofolate mutationPortal vein thrombosisFactor-v-leidenVenous thrombosiAntiphospholipid antibodiesCirrhotic-patientsRiskMetaanalysisDisordersMutaionMthfrThromboembolismHematologyAdultFactor VFemaleGenetic predisposition to diseaseHumansMethylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (nadph2)Myocardial infarctionPortal veinStrokeThrombophiliaVenous thrombosisAcute myocardial infarction, ischemic cerebrovascular disease and variceal bleeding due to portal vein thrombosis in a patient with hereditary thrombophiliaArticle0002552283000122-s2.0-4184913286324324619318388507HematologyMutation; Prothrombin; Activated Protein C Resistance5,10 methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (FADH2)Acetylsalicylic acidBlood clotting factor 5 LeidenCardiolipin antibodyCarvedilolClopidogrelEsomeprazoleHomocysteineImmunoglobulin G antibodyIsosorbide mononitrateLansoprazoleLow molecular weight heparinNadroparinPravastatinProtein SProton pump inhibitorAcute heart infarctionAdultArticleBleedingCase reportCerebrovascular accidentCoronary stentDrug substitutionDrug withdrawalEnvironmental factorFemaleGene mutationGenetic riskHeterozygosityHomozygosityHumanPercutaneous coronary interventionPortal vein thrombosisPortal vein thrombosisProtein functionRisk factorThrombophiliaThrombosisUpper gastrointestinal bleedingVarix bleeding
