Ayrıca yapılan çalışmalarda, otonam innervasyonun adrenal korteks fonksiyonu üzerine etkili olduğu bildirilmektedir. Columna intermedia Iateralis'te T3-L2 segmentlerinden kaynaklanan otonom liflerin adrenal korteks innervasyonunda rol aldığı ifade edilmektedir. Bu çalışma adrenal korteks fonksiyonu üzerine otonom yolların etkilerini ve medulla spinalis içinde seyreden otonom yolların çaprazlamaları değerlendirebilmek amacıyla planlandı. Çalışmada, Sprague - Dawley türü sıçanlara T1-2 segmentleri arasında medula spinalis kesileri uygulandı. Oluşturulan kesilerle sağlanan unilateral ve bilateral denervasyonların adrenal korteks üzerine etkileri, Hematoksilen-Eosin boyama ile ışık mikroskobunda değerlendirildi. Elde edilen bulgulara dayanılarak korteks fonksiyonunun devamında otonom liflerin etkin olduğu, korteks innervasyonunda rol alan otonom liflerin medulla spinalis içinde kesi seviyesi altında çaprazlaştığı kanısına varıldı.lt is commonly accepted that adrenal cortex function is the mainIy under the control of the hypothalamo-hypophyseal-adrenal axis. In recent years, it has been widely accepted that the autonomic nervous system is also effective in this function. Many studies have shown that the adrenal cortex contains autonomic nerve fibers the new·one of which participates in the columna intermediolateralis of spinal levels T3-L2. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of autonomic innervation on the adrenal cortex and whether they cross within the spinal cord. Spinal cord hemisection and transactions at the level of T1-T2 segments have been performed on the female Sprague-Dawley rats. Adrenals have been removed and stained with Haematoxyline-Eosin.
