For this purpose, different surgical approaches and stabilization techniques have been used. The objectives of this study were to establish an animal model for corpectomy and fusion and to analyze the effectivity of bone plaque and Screw system obtained from xenograft material. We compared the currently used clinical techniques of performing this procedure: corpectomy with xenograft bone fusion (from bovine) plus xenograft bone plaque and screw fixation, and corpectomy with xenograft bone fusion plus metal plaque and screw fixation. Fusion and stability was examined radiographically, biomechanically, and histologically for comparison.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessNeurosciences & neurologySurgeryDiskectomyAnterior cervical xenograft bone fusion with bone and metal plate screw fixationProceedings Paper000083639400067409421NeurosciencesSurgery
