Bu değerlendirmede sanatın kültürel üretim alanlarında "soylu bir uğraş" olarak görülmesinde insanları cezbeden motivasyonel gücü üzerinde durulmaktadır. Özellikle de sanatın. kültürel üretim alanlarındaki gücüne ortak olmak isteyenlerin girişimlerinin reddedilmesi hatta bu girişimlerinde zaman zaman ciddi aşağılamalara uğramış olmalarına rağmen neden bu gücü istedikleri anlaşılır kılınmaya çalışılmaktadır. Bu amaçla ele alınan konu bir bütün oluşturacak şekilde, bir bunalım ortamında sanat için sanat anlayışı. kültürel üretim alanlarının anti ekonomik ekonomi mantığı. bir koz olarak sanat dilinin dışlayıcılığı. "The Rules of Art", the masterpiece of Pierre Bourdieu, is evaluated in a sociological way. This evaluation focuses on the motivating power of art. since it is accepted as a "noble engagement in cultural production ficlds. It is especially tried to make it clear the reason why people want this power. although the efforts of the people who want to share the power of art in cultural production fields were refused and from time to time they have been even degraded in their these efforts. To reach this purpose, the subject was investigated to whole extent in chapters like the concept of art for art in times of depression, anti-economic logics of economy in cultural production fields, the exclusiveness of the language of art as a trump card. the heterogeneous market of culture versus the concept of an autonomous art, hierarchy of esthetic taste.
