Son bölümde teknolojik gelişme sürecinde fonksiyonel-estetik ilişki açısından dokuma kumaş tasarımı tartışılmıştır.In first two parts of the thesis, the historical developments of the woven fabrics and also the functional-esthetical relationship are examined. The effective parameters are also explained. Then the design of the woven fabrics are reviewed and physical and esthetical design parameters are studied by giving some explanation about the different fabric structures. In the third part, the effects of the technological developments of weaving on woven fabrics are examined depending on the relationship between functional and esthetics.
