Bu arketiplerin en önemlilerinden biri de aşama arketipidir. Buna kahraman arketipi (hero archetype) veya monomitos da denir. Bu arketipe daha çok masallarda, rüyalarda veya edebiyat ürünlerinde rastlanır. Kahraman yurdundan yola çıkar ve uzak bir ülkeye varır. Yol boyunca başından birçok macera geçer ve sonunda bir ödül alarak ülkesine döner. Döndüğünde ise o artık çok değişmiştir. Uzaktan getirdiği ödül ise sosyo-ekonomik ve psikolojik açıdan değişimi sembolize etmektedir. Aslında kahramanın gittiği bu esrarengiz ülke kendi bilinçaltıdır. Böyle bir öykü Attar’ın Mantıt al- Tayr adlı eserinde anlatılmaktadır. Bu öykü bu makalede Jungian arketipler açısından özellikle de kahraman arketipi açısından değerlendirilmiştir.The most original feature of analytical psychology founded by Carl Gustav Jung is the collective unconscious and the archetypes in it. The most important one of these archetypes is the stage archetype which is also called hero archetype or monomitos. This archetype is recorded in stories, dreams, and literature. The hero leaves his homeland and arrives in a faraway country. He undergoes many adventures on the journey, and returns home with a reward. He is now back as a different person. The reward he brought back from far away symbolizes socio-economic and psychological change. The mysterious country the hero went is in fact but his unconscious. A similar story is told in the Conference of the Birds (al-Mantiq al-Tayr) by al-Attar.
