Milli Pediatri Kongresinde bildiri olarak sunulmuştur.Mauriac sendromu glukoz regülasyonu iyi olmayan insüline bağımlı diabetes vakalarında gelişme geriliği, hepatomegali, obezite ile karakterli bir sendromdur. 13 yaşında kız çocuğu olan olgumuz bize boy hastalığı, karın şişliği şikayetiyle başvurdu. Diabetes Mellitus tanısı 5 yaşında konan olgu insülin tedavisini düzensiz uygulamış. Yapılan fizik muayenesinde hepatosplenomegali, obezite, büyüme gelişme geriliği tespit edildi. Laboratuvar tetkiklerinde hiperlipidemi, hiperkolesterolemia, osteoporoz saptandı. Son yıllarda oldukça nadir görüldüğü için literatürle karşılaştırılarak sunuldu.Mauriac syndrome is characterized by failure to thrive hepatomegaly and obesity in children with insulin dependent diabetes whose glucoregulation has not been established. Our case was a girl of 13 years of age, admitted to our clinic with the complaint of and abdominal distention. She had been given the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus of 5 years of age and was receiving insulin treatment irregularly. On physical examination hepatosplenomegali, obesity and failure to thrive was established. Hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia and osteoporosis was also found.
