Koyunların hepsi östrus gösterdi ve tohuml andı. Tohumlama sırasında 3 gruba ayrılan koyunlara, tohumlamadan 6 saat önce (Gr: 1), tohumlama sırasında (Gr: 2) ve tohumlamadan 6 saat sonra (Gr: 3) 25 mcg Gonadorelin (GnRH) enjekte edildi. Koyunların tohumlanmasında 0.25 cm3'te 200x10 6 motil spermatozoon bulunacak biçimde Glikoz-Fosfat sulandırıcısı ile sulandırılan taze sperma kullanıldı. 40 gün içinde geri dönmeyenler belirlendi ve gebelik oranı 3 grupta sırasıyla % 80, 30, 70 olarak bulundu.In this investigation, the effects of GnRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone) on the fertility of ewes were studied. Thirty ewes were treated with 7.5 mg Luprostiol (PGF 2a) twice at twelve days intervals. All ewes showed oestrus and divided into three groups. The first, the second and the third groups were treated with 25 mcg Gonadorelin, 6 hours before (Gr: 1), during (Gr: 2) and six hours after (Gr: 3) the inseminations respectively. Fresh semen, diluted with Glucose-Phosphate diluent (200x10 6 motile spermatozoa/0.25 cm3), was used for inseminations. Ewes were inseminated cervically.
