Melliand Textilberichte internatıonal Textile Reports, 66(8), 573-576.0931-9735http://hdl.handle.net/11452/21302The suitability of interlock jacquard long-loop stitches for outerwear, as compared with other types of stitches, is discussed. Tests based on DIN standards were carried out to measure the width of the goods, the number of courses and wales, the weight per unit area, the tensile strength and breaking elongation, and the bursting resistance and abrasion resistance. The results showed that the new stitches developed in knitting long loops with jacquard patterns are superior to the conventional cam and jacquard stitches in regard to the density, width, and bursting strength obtained.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessMaterials scienceAbrasion resistanceBreaking elongationBursting strengthFabric constructionFabric strengthFabric weightJacquard knittingWale spacingInvestigations into new outerwear stitches based on the interlock principleArticleA1985APC23000102-s2.0-0021870335573576668Materials science, textiles
