Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery, 11(10), 885-888.1098-612Xhttps://doi.org/10.1016/j.jfms.2009.04.002https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1016/j.jfms.2009.04.002http://hdl.handle.net/11452/24256The presence of HER-2/neu (c-erbB-2) oncoprotein, oestrogen-alpha. receptor (ER), and progesterone receptor (PR) in hyperplastic endometrial polyps (EPs) of two cats with cystic endometrial hyerplasia-pyometra (CEH-P) complex was investigated. Immunohistochemistry assay for ER, PR and c-erbB-2 oncoprotein in the glandular and stromal tissue of the Ell's was performed. ER and c-erbB-2 immunoreactivity, vas observed in the glandular epithelium of the EPs whereas PR immunoreactivity was detected only in the stromal fibroblasts. The c-erbB-2 oncoprotein may play a role with the ER in the pathogenesis of the hyperplastic EPs, although the role of this oncoprotein in the pathogenesis of EPs has yet to be determined.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessEpidermal-growth-factorProgesterone-receptor expressionEstrogenPyometraFeaturesUterusAlphaDogVeterinary sciencesAnimalsCat diseasesCatsEndometrial hyperplasiaFemaleImmunohistochemistryOncogene proteinsPolypsPyometraReceptor, erbB-2Receptors, estrogenReceptors, progesteroneUterusHER-2/neu (c-erbB-2) oncoprotein in hyperplastic endometrial polyps detected in two catsArticle0002713555000172-s2.0-70349324148885888111019560383Veterinary sciencesAtelerix Albiventris; Cynomys Ludovicianus; Petaurus BrevicepsEpidermal growth factor receptor 2Estrogen receptorOncoproteinProgesterone receptorAnimalAnimal diseaseArticleCatCat diseaseEchographyEndometrium hyperplasiaFemaleImmunohistochemistryPathophysiologyPolypPyometraUterus
