Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, 2013.1748-670X1748-6718https://doi.org/10.1155/2013/849674https://www.hindawi.com/journals/cmmm/2013/849674/http://hdl.handle.net/11452/32732An expert system having two stages is proposed for cardiac arrhythmia diagnosis. In the first stage, Fisher score is used for feature selection to reduce the feature space dimension of a data set. The second stage is classification stage in which least squares support vector machines classifier is performed by using the feature subset selected in the first stage to diagnose cardiac arrhythmia. Performance of the proposed expert system is evaluated by using an arrhythmia data set which is taken from UCI machine learning repository.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMathematical & computational biologyDiseasesExpert systemsCardiac arrhythmiaData setFeature spaceFeature spaceFisher scoreLeast squares support vector machinesUCI machine learning repositorySupport vector machinesAlgorithmsArrhythmias, cardiacArtificial intelligenceComputational biologyDatabases, factualDiagnosis, computer-assistedElectrocardiographyExpert systemsHumansLeast-squares analysisSupport vector machinesAn expert system based on fisher score and LS-SVM for cardiac arrhythmia diagnosisArticle0003214642000012-s2.0-84880175539201323861726Mathematical & computational biologyElectrocardiograph; Compressed Sensing; CompressionArticleClinical evaluationDiagnostic accuracyExpert systemFisher scoreHeart arrhythmiaMachine learningSupport vector machineAlgorithmArrhythmias, cardiacArtificial intelligenceBiologyComputer assisted diagnosisElectrocardiographyEvaluation studyFactual databaseHumanRegression analysisStatistics and numerical dataSupport vector machineComputer assisted diagnosisStatistics
