''The effect of vitamin E therapy on plasma and erythrocyte lipid peroxidation in chronic hemodialysis patients''. Clinica Chimica Acta, 185(1), 109-112.0009-8981https://doi.org/10.1016/0009-8981(89)90135-6https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0009898189901356http://hdl.handle.net/11452/20874The effect of vitamin E therapy on plasma and erythrocyte (RBC) lipid peroxidation was investigated in patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis. Before vitamin E therapy, both plasma and RBC lipid peroxidation values of chronic hemodialysis patients were significantly higher than those of healthy controls. Treatment with vitamin E (300 mg/day) for 1 month resulted in a significant decrease of lipid peroxidation. Vitamin E therapy may be a promising approach to prevent peroxidation of membrane lipids in chronic renal failure.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessChronic renal failureLipid peroxidationVitamin EMedical laboratory technologyThe effect of vitamin E therapy on plasma and erythrocyte lipid peroxidation in chronic hemodialysis patientsArticleA1989AZ614000122-s2.0-002446344710911218512620447Medical laboratory technology
