Batılı kavrayışın tarihsel ve kavramsal süreçlerinin yönlendirmesi ile zaman, metodolojide ve dolayısıyla araştırma alanlarında evrensel ve zorunlu bir kabul olarak ele alınmaktadır. Söz konusu kabul, zaman kavramının fiziksel, tipolojik ve özneler arası bağlamlarda tanımlanması ve bu tanımlara bağlı olarak oluşan kavramsal enstrümanlar ile gerçekleştirilmektedir. Çalışmada Batılı zaman anlayışının, sosyal bilim ve din araştırmalarında temel kabul oluşturan enstrümanları ve onlar vasıtasıyla inşa edilen zaman problemleri tanımlanmaktadır. Metodolojik alanda konumlandırılan çalışma, zaman problemlerinin çalışma örnekleri üzerinde tespitine yönelik çözümlemeler içermektedir. Nitel araştırma yöntemleri içerisinde yer alan meta sentez yönteminin takip edildiği bu çalışmada zaman kavramı sosyal bilim ve din araştırmaları bağlamında problematik bir unsur olarak ele alınmıştır. Sonuç olarak zamanın Batılı kavrayışının neden olduğu zaman problemlerine yönelik metodolojik bir açılım oluşturulması gerekliliğine ulaşılmıştır.In social science and religious studies, the concept of time has a usage on which there are few studies and discussions. Under the guidance of the historical and conceptual processes of Western understanding, time is treated as a universal and obligatory acceptance in methodology and thus in research fields. This acceptance is realised through the definition of the concept of time in physical, typological and intersubjective contexts and the conceptual instruments formed based on these definitions. In the study, the instruments of the Western understanding of time, which are accepted in social science and religious studies, and the time problems constructed with them are defined. The study, which is positioned in the methodological field, includes analyses for the determination of time problems on study samples. In this study, in which the meta-synthesis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, is followed, the concept of time is handled as a problematic element in the context of social science and religious studies.
