In the first chapter we introduce basic definitions, theorems and equalities which will be used in the other chapters. In the second chapter we define a differantiable, non-degenerate curve y on a semi-Riemannian manifold, We give a geometric interpretation of the curvature of the curve y for the case kj = 0. We find the relation between the j-planar property of the curve y and the curvature kj . We also study the products of the semi-Riemannian manifolds which have pointwise 2-planar normal sections. Chapter IH. consists of the original work. In this chapter we consider an isometry immersion between two Riemannian manifolds which have pointwise 2-planar normal sections.
