Our case is of a ten month-old baby boy who died shortly after admission to the hospital due to vomiting and diarrhoea. Autopsy findings revealed cyanosis of finger nails and ears. Internal examination revealed; large heart, weighing 60 grams, single ventricle, without a septum and upper membranous part. Single ventricle is a rare pathology, hence, this paper aims to discuss this case from a medico-legal point of view.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessUniventricular heartGeneral & internal medicineResearch & experimental medicineAutopsyCyanosisFatal outcomeHeart defects, congenitalHeart ventriclesHumansInfantMaleSingle ventricle cardiac defectEditorial Material0002766397000192-s2.0-7795122704939039160520527615Medicine, general & internalMedicine, research & experimentalFontan Procedure; Extracorporeal Circulation; Hypoplastic Left Heart SyndromeArticleCardiomegalyCase reportCyanosisDiarrheaHeart failureHeart left atriumHeart left ventricle wallHeart right atriumHeart right ventricleHeart single ventricleHeart ventricle hypertrophyHeart ventricle septumHumanInfantMaleTricuspid valveVomitingAutopsyCongenital heart malformationCongenital malformationFatalityHeart ventriclePathology
