Ardından “Türkiye’de muhafazakar nedir?” sorusu yanıtlanmaya çalışılacaktır. Avrupa muhafazakarlığının ve Türkiye Muhafazakarlığının yoksullara bakış açıları kendisini muhafazakar olarak tanımlayan AK Partinin Bursa il ve ilçe belediye başkanlarına sorulacak sorular üzerinden değerlendirilecektir. Bu tezin amacı, kendisini muhafazakar bir parti olarak tanımlayan AK Partili bir yönetim kadrosuna sahip il ve ilçe belediyelerinin yoksulluk sorununa nasıl yaklaştıklarına, getirdiği çözüm önerilerine ve bu konu hakkındaki icraatlarına sosyolojik perspektiften bakarak bir değerlendirme yapmaktır. Bu tezin önemi ise, yoksullara karşı ülkemizde kendisini siyasal manada “Batı’dan farklı tanımlayan muhafazakar siyasetin söylemleriyle icraatlarının ne kadar uyumlu olup olmadığını; uyumlu ise hangi konu ve kapsamlarda uyumlu olduğunu, uyumlu değilse bunun nedenini ve buna karşı yapılabilecek yorumları sosyoloji literatürüne katmaktır. Bu yorumlar da bir örneklem seçerek yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat yoluyla belgelendirmiş olacaktır.In this thesis, the concepts of conservative and poverty will be examined first. Then, the question "What is conservative in Turkey?" will be tried to be answered. The perspectives of European conservatism and Turkish Conservatism on the poor will be investigated through the questions to be asked to the Bursa provincial and district mayors of the AK Party, which defines itself as conservative. The aim of this thesis is to make an evaluation by looking at how the provincial and district municipalities, which have an AKP administrative staff who define themselves as a conservative party, approach the problem of poverty, the solution proposals they bring and their actions on this issue from a sociological perspective. The importance of this thesis is to add to the sociological literature the extent to which the discourses of conservative politics, which defines itself differently from the "West" in political terms, are compatible with the poor in our country; if it is compatible, in which subjects and scopes it is compatible, if not, the reason for this and the comments that can be made against it.
