Bu amaçla araştırma alanını temsil edebilecek şekilde 25 adet toprak örneği alınmış ve bu örneklerin bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre topraklar genellikle orta ve ince bünyeli, nötr ve hafif alkolin pH'da, tuzluluk sorunu olmayan, kireç, organik madde, toplam N ve yarayışlı Fe yönünden yetersiz, değişebilir K, Ca, Mg ile yarayışlı P, Mn, Cu ve Zn yönünden yeterli düzeyde olduğu ortaya konulmuştur.This research was carried out to de termine the fertility levels of the soils of red brown mediterranean great soil group in Bursa province. For this porposees 25 soil samples were taken from reseach area. Some physical and chenucal properties were determined in these samples. According to the results of the study, the soils were mostly medium and fine textured; have a neutral and slightly alkaline pH; there was not any problem of salinity of soils. The calcium carbonate, organic matter, total N and available Fe contents of the soils were inadequate.
