A patient underwent thromboendarterectomy of the right popliteal artery. Subsequently, right lower limb reflex sympathetic dystrophy developed, which was confirmed by scintigraphy and responded well to calcitonin treatment. Typing according to the new classification of CRPS type I or II with possible nerve injury is discussed, and a short review of the literature is included.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessBone scanReflex sympathetic dystrophyComplex regional pain syndromeReflex sympathetic dystrophyVascular surgeryDiagnosis, differentialAgedCausalgiaComplex regional pain syndromesVascular diseasesEndarterectomyFootHumansMalePopliteal arteryRadiopharmaceuticalsReflex sympathetic dystrophyTechnetium tc 99m medronateWhole-body countingComplex regional pain syndrome after thromboendarterectomy - Which type is it?Article0001776687000012-s2.0-003672518061962127912192276Radiology, nuclear medicine & medical imagingComplex Regional Pain Syndromes; Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy; Radius FracturesAmiodaroneStatinePopliteal arteryAnalgesic agentCalcitoninDipeptidyl carboxypeptidase inhibitorGlyceryl trinitrateRadiopharmaceutical agentDifferential diagnosisWarfarinDiagnostic agentDrug derivativeMedronate technetium tc 99mTechnetium Tc 99m hydroxymethylene diphosphonateEndarterectomyAgedFootScintiscanningAllodyniaVascular diseaseComplex regional pain syndromeComplex regional pain syndromeBone scintiscanningCase reportComplex regional pain syndrome type IWhole body countingDisease classificationComplex regional pain syndrome type IComplex regional pain syndrome type IIEndarterectomyHumanMaleNerve injuryPopliteal arteryReviewScintigraphyVascular surgeryArticleCausalgia
