Takip edilen 236 krampta uygulanan bu tedaviler sonucunda % 20 Mannitolün diğer tedavi yöntemlerine göre daha etkin olduğu , Diazepamın ise koruyucu etkisi olmadığı ve kramp adedini kramp süresini uzattığı izlenimi edinilmiştir.Effects of the solutions of 30% Dextrose, 20 % Mannitol, Diazepam + 30% Dextrose and Diazepam + 20 % Mannitol on the muscle cramps of hemodialysis patients have been investigated.
