Schiff bazlarının N-(2-oksimino-2-feniletil)-N,N,N-trietilamonyum bromür ile reaksiyonundan 1,2,4-triaril-3-imidazolin-3-oksidler yeni bir yöntemle elde edildiler. DMF içinde dehidrolayıcı olarak NH4CI, (CH3)3N.HCI, (C2H5)3N.HBr gibi amonyum halojenürler kullanılarak 3-imidazolin-3-oksidler karşılık gelen 1,2,4-triarilimidazollere yüksek verimlerle dönüştürüldüler. 1,2,4-Triaril-3-imidazolin-3-oksidlerin PCI3 ile etkileşmesinden imidazolinler yerine imidazoller elde edildiler. Schiff bazlarının N-(2-oksimino-2-feniletil)-N,N,N-trietilamonyum bromür ile önce dikloretan içinde daha sonra dikloretan uzaklaştırılıp DMF içinde aynı kapta ısıtılması sonucu 1,2,4-triarilimidazollerin sentezi için yeni bir yöntem geliştirildi.In this work various new Schiff bases are obtained ıısing 1-naphthylamine and 2-naphthylamine. A new method is developed for the preparation of 1,2,4-triaryl-3-imidazoline-3-oxides by the reaction of Schiff bases with N-(2-oximino-2-phenylethyl)-N,N,N-triethylammonium bromide. 1,2,4-Triaryl-3-imidazoline-3-oxides are converted in high yields into corresponding 1,2,4-triarylimidazoles ıısing ammonium halides such as NH4CI, (CH3)3N.HCI, (C2H5)3N.HBr in DMF as mild dehydrating agent. Treating 1,2,4-triaryl-3-imidazoline-3-oxides with PCI3 gave corresponding 1,2,4-triarylimidazoles, but not imidazolines. A one pot procedure is developed for the synthesis of 1,2,4-triarylimidazoles starting from the corresponding Schiff bases and N-(2-oximino-2-phenylethyl)-N,N,N-triethylammonium bromide in dichlorethane, removing the solvent, then in DMF.
