Kayıt dışı istihdam olarak kabul edilebilecek faaliyetleri işverenler kendi çıkarları için isterken çalışanlar zorunluluktan dolayı kabul etmekte veya bu istihdam biçimini kendileri tercih etmektedirler. Kayıt dışı istihdamı ortaya çıkaran ekonomik ve mali, sosyal, hukuksal ve bürokratik ile sosyal güvenlikten kaynaklanan birtakım nedenler etkili olmaktadır. Kayıt dışı istihdamın her ne kadar olumlu yönleri olsa da olumsuz yönleri ülkelerin ekonomilerine zararlar verebilmektedir. Kayıt dışı istihdamdan en çok etkilenen kesim ise kadın işgücüdür. Ülke ekonomisine büyük katkıları olsa da kadın işgücü, çeşitli sebeplerden dolayı kayıt dışı istihdam edilmektedir. Bu nedenle, kayıt dışı istihdam ve kadın işgücü arasındaki ilişki ele alınmış, Bağcılar’da yaşayan kadınların neden kayıt dışı çalıştıkları, çalışma koşullarının nasıl olduğu üzerine alan çalışması yapılmıştırInformal employment, which is the face of the informal economy reflected in working life, is a common problem of developed and developing countries. While employers want activities that can be considered as unregistered employment for their own benefit, employees accept it out of necessity or prefer this form of employment themselves. There are a number of economic and financial, social, legal and bureaucratic reasons that cause unregistered employment, as well as social security. Although unregistered employment has positive aspects, its negative aspects can harm the economies of countries. The segment most affected by unregistered employment is the female workforce. Although they have great contributions to the country's economy, the female workforce is employed informally for various reasons.
