Abstract
Sosyal, kültürel, siyasî vb. pek çok alanda araştırmacılara çok geniş bir çalışma alanı sunan Osmanlı Arşivleri tarihin eşsiz hazinelerindendir. Bu gizli deryadan gün yüzüne çıkarılan her bilgi, geçmişi aydınlatmakta ve geleceğe ışık tutmaktadır. 1855 Bursa Depremi, Osmanlı'nın "Dibacesi"ni unutulmayacak izler bırakarak yıkan büyük bir felâkettir. Deprem, şehri süsleyen hemen her tarihî eserde bir hasar bırakmış, bu izleri uzun yıllar silebilmek mümkün olmamıştır. Deprem sonrası Dersaadet ile Hudâvendigâr Sancağı arasındaki resmî yazışmalar, hasar tespit raporları ve keşif defterlerinden, şehirde hasar alan dinî, sosyal ve kültürel yapıları; halkın yardım talepleri ve bu taleplere verilen karşılıklardan can ve mal kayıplarını tespit etmek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada, depremin verdiği hasar ve şehrin yeniden ihyası için yapılan çalışmalarla birlikte, kültürel mirası koruma kaygısının tarihi seyri de ele alınmış, modern restorasyon uygulamaları ile dönemin "tamir, tecdid ve muhafaza" kültürü mukayese edilerek şehrin değişim ve gelişmesine yön veren saikler incelenmiştir.
The Ottoman Archives are a unique treasure of history, offering a wide range of work fields to many researchers on the social, cultural, political etc. areas. Everything that is revealed to this day from the secret world illuminates the past and sheds light on the future. 1855 Bursa Earthquake is a major catastrophe that destroyed the "Foreword (Dibace)" of the Ottoman Empire leaving unforgettable traces. The earthquake left a damage in almost every historical work decorating the city, and it was not possible to cover these traces for many years. After the earthquake, the official correspondence between Dersaadet (Capital-İstanbul) and Hudavendigar Sanjak, damage detection reports and exploration books, the religious, social and cultural structures taking damage in the city; It is possible to determine the relief demand of the people and the loss of life and property from the correspondences given to these requests. In this study, the history of the cultural heritage conservation issue was discussed, along with the studies on the damage caused by the earthquake and the rehabilitation of the city. The modern restoration practices and the period of "repair, tajdid and conservation".
