Abstract
Son çeyrek asırda dünya ekonomisi tüm sektör ve piyasalarda özellikle finansal piyasalarda büyük değişimler yaşamıştır. Finansal serbestleşme hareketi sonucu sermayenin önündeki engellerin kaldırılması ile birlikte ülkelerde finanasal derinliğin sağlanması ve teknolojik gelişmelerin artışı gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde yeni büyüme fırsatları yaratmıştır. Bununla birlikte son yıllarda tüm dünyada küreselleşme ile meydana gelen ekonomik gelişmelerle beraber, doğrudan yabancı yatırımların da yönü ve boyutları değişiklikler göstermiştir. Ayrıca ülkelerin uyguladıkları politika ve ekonomik yapısı ve aynı zamanda yatırımın şekli ve amacına göre farklılık göstermektedir. Ancak genel görüş, doğrudan yabancı yatırımların verimliliği artırarak ev sahibi ülkenin ekonmik büyümesini olumlu etkilediği yönündedir. Bu nedenle gelişmekte olan ülkeler doğrudan yabancı ytırım çekebilmek için yabancı yatırımcıları teşvik edici politikalar uygulamaktadır. Bu çalışmada doğrudan yabancı yatırımların ekonomik büyümeye etkisi Afganistan ve analize dahil edilen diğer ülkerin 2002-2019 yıllarına ait verileri kullanılarak panel ARDL modeli uygulanmış, kısa ve uzun dönem eşbütünleşme sonuçları incelenmiştir. Bu analizde doğrudan yabancı yatırımların ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi uzun dönemde negatif ancak kısa dönemde pozitif olduğu sonucu elde edilmiştir.
In the last quarter century, the world economy has experienced great changes in all sectors and markets, especially in financial markets. As a result of the financial liberalization movement, the removal of the obstacles in front of the capital, providing financial depth in the countries and the increase in technological developments created new growth opportunities in developed and developing countries. However, in recent years, the direction and dimensions of foreign direct investments have also changed with the economic developments that have occurred with globalization all over the world. In addition, it differs according to the policy and economic structure of the countries, as well as the form and purpose of the investment. However, the general view is that foreign direct investments increase productivity and positively affect the economic growth of the host country. For this reason, developing countries implement policies that encourage foreign investors in order to attract foreign direct investments. In this study, the effect of foreign direct investments on economic growth was applied using the data of 2002-2019 from Afghanistan and other countries included in the analysis, and the short and long-term cointegration results were examined. In this analysis, it is concluded that the effect of foreign direct investments on economic growth is negative in the long run but positive in the short run.
