Abstract
"Bizans Dönemine (13. YY) ait 93 orbitada (48 yetişkin erkek kafatasında) incisura (inc.) veya foramen (for.) supraorbitalis nin sağ ve sol tarafta bulunma oranları araştırıldı. Sağ tarafta (45 orbitada) % 73 oranında inc. supraorbitalis, % 20 oranında for. supraorbitale; sol tarafta (48 orbitada) % 85.4 oranında inc. supraorbitalis ve % 12.5 oranında for. supraorbitale saptandı. For. infraorbitale sağda% 61.3 ve solda % 64.5 anında inc. veya for. supraorbitalis'in dış kenarından geçen çizginin dışında yer aldı. Inc: (for.) supraorbitalis merkezinin orta hatta uzaklığı sağda 26.2 mm, solda 26.0 mm; for. infraorbitale nin merkezinin orta hatta uzaklığı sağda 32.5 mm, solda 30.6 mm; inc. (for.) supraorbitalis ve for infraorbitale merkezlerinin birbirine olan uzaklığı sağda 50.2 mm, solda 50.4 mm ve for. infraorbitale nin margo infraorbitalis uzaklığı sağda 9.5 mm ve solda 9.6 mm idi. Sağ ve sol taraflar arasında uzaklıklar istatistiki olarak anlamlı farklılığa sahip değildi.
The ratios of the supraorbital notch or foramen were investigated on the right and left sides of 93 orbits (48 adult male skulls) belonging to the Byzantine Period (13 AC). On the right side (45 orbits), the supraorbital notch was found at 73 % of the skulls and the supraorbital foramen is found at 20 %; on the left side (48 orbits), the supraorbital notch was found at 85.4% and the supraorbital foramen is found at 12.5 %. It was found that the infraorbital for men was located lateral to the sagittal plane passing through the lateral margin of the supraorbital notch or foramen (right :6I.3% and left: 64.5%). The average distances of the center of supraorbital notch or foramen and infraorbital foramen from the median plane were 26.2 mm, 32.5 mm on the right side and 26.0 mm, 30.6 mm on the left side respectively. The average length between the center of supraorbital notch or foramen and the center of infraorbital foramen was 50.2 mm (right) and 50.4 mm (left). The average distance from the center of infraorbital foramen to the infraorbital margin was 9.5 mm (right) and 9.6 mm (left). There were not statistically differences between on the right and left sides.
