Abstract
İnternet olgusu çok yeni bir fenomen olması nedeniyle, bu konuda sınırlı sayıda teorik bilgi ve araştırma mevcuttur. Türkiye'de, sosyoloji disiplini çerçevesinde, İnternet ortamındaki iletişimin, insan ilişkilerine ve sosyal etkileşime etkilerini konu alan kapsamlı bir çalışma mevcut değildir. Bu çalışma, İnternet'i bir sosyal ağlar sistemi olarak incelemiş ve bu ortamdaki ilişki bağlarını, topluluk sosyolojisi kapsamında ele alarak açıklamaya çalışmıştır. İnternet ortamındaki ilişkiler konusunda farklı bakış açılarına da yer verilerek, konu ile ilgili yapılan teorik ve ampirik çalışmalar karşılaştırmalı bir şekilde irdelenmiştir. Bu bulgular rehberliğinde, ağların oluşturduğu bir ağ olan, ve sadece bilgisayarları değil insanları da birleştiren İnternet oluşumu bünyesinde insan ilişkilerini araştırmayı amaçlanmıştır.Birinci bölümde, İnternet'in ortaya çıkmasında etkili olan teknolojik gelişmelere telekomünikasyon, mikroelektronik, bilgisayar ve ağ teknolojileri başlıkları altında değinilmiş ve ardından dünyada ve Türkiye'de İnternet'in gelişiminin tarihçesi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İnternet'in kullanım oranları, dünya ve Türkiye çapında istatistiksel verilerle desteklenerek açıklanmıştır.İkinci bölümde, elektronik iletişim yöntemlerinin toplumsal rolü ve insan ilişkilerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. İnsanlık tarihi boyunca yaşanan teknolojik değişimlerin, sosyal hayattaki izdüşümlerine yer verilmiştir. Bu çerçevede, yeni iletişim ortamı olarak İnternet'te, sosyal ilişkiler ve sosyal etkileşim konularındaki araştırmalar yorumlanmıştır.Üçüncü bölümde ise, İnternet'in sosyal ağ olarak ele alınmasının gerekçeleri belirtilmiştir. Bu sosyal ağlar sisteminde, insan ilişkileri topluluk sosyolojisi çerçevesinde açıklanmıştır. İnternet'te iletişim konusunda yapılan çalışmalarda, sosyal ağ analizi yönteminin kullanılması ile sanal topluluk algısı hakkındaki tartışmalar ve araştırmalar değerlendirilmiştir. Sosyal ağ analizinin kendine özgü anlam çerçevesinde, İnternet ortamında insan ilişkileri ve sosyal bağlar konularına odaklanılmıştır.Sonuç olarak ise tüm bu bilgiler ve araştırmalar ışığında genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır.
With Internet being a fairly new phenomenon, there exist very limited resources and theoretical information and researches about it yet. Inside the range of sociological disciplines, on communication in the Internet media, there is no such capable research based on its affects on personal relationships and social interaction in Turkey. This study tries to focus on Internet as a social network system and interprets the relationships on this media in manners of community sociology and contains different point of views to these relationships. The theoretical and empirical studies about the subject are arranged in a comparative method. With the guidance of these findings looking into personal relationships is aimed under the constitution of the Internet, as the networks of networks, which is not only connecting computers also the people.In the first section, the technological developments that led the rise of the Internet under the titles of telecommunication, microelectronics, computers and network systems are referred and subsequently the progress of Internet around the globe and in Turkey is instructed. The rates of Internet usage is expressed with statistical data from surveys and researches around the World and within Turkey.The second section explores the social role of electronic communication techniques and their affects on personal relationships. The projections of the technological evolution throughout the human history on social life are enlightened. In this context, researches on the social involvements and interactions in the Internet as a new communication media are analyzed.The third is about the necessities of the Internet to be discussed as a social network. In this social networks system, personal relationships are defined in the meanings of the community sociology. The usage of social network analysis method on the arguments and the studies on the perception of virtual community about the researches on communication via Internet is recovered. The subjects of personal relationships and social tie in the Internet media are focused on, under the distinctive concept of social network analysis.Consequently, a general overview under the circumstances of all these information and researches is interpreted and concluded.
