Abstract
Bugün birçok kanserde tümör hücrelerinin immünolojik özelliklerinden tanı, tedavi ve prognozun saptanmasında yararlanılmaktadır. Bir antiglobulin olan Romatoid Faktör (RF), değişici epitel hücreli mesane tümörlerinin tanı ve prognozunun saptanmasında önemli bir yeri vardır. Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Üroloji Anabilim Dalına çeşitli nedenlerle başvuran toplam 115 olgu RF aktiviteleri yönünden değerlendirdiler. Bunlardan 40 olguda değişici epitel hücreli mesane tümörü, 24'ünde mesane dışı ürogenital sistem tümörleri ve 51 'inde ise bazı benign ürogenital sistem hastalıkları vardı. RF aktivitesi, mesane kanseri olgularında diğerlerine göre daha yüksek oranda bulundu. Mesane kanserinin malignite derecesi ve prognozunun belirlenmesinde RF aktivitesinin önemli olduğu ayrıca istatistiksel olarak da gösterildi.
Today the immunological properties of the cancer cells are used in the diagnosis, treatment and in determining the prognosis of many tumors. Rheumatoid Factor (RF) which is an antiglobulin has an important place in the diagnosis and estimating the prognosis of the transitional cell bladder tumors. We measured the RF activity of 11 5 patients who were seen at the Urology clinic of the Uludağ University Medical Faculty. Among these patients 40 were having bladder tumors of transitional cell type, 24 were having extra bladder malignancy and 51 were having different kinds of benign urological diseases. The positivity rate of RF, in bladder cancer was found to be higher than the rate of others. The importance of the RF activity is shown statistically in the grade and the prognostic rate of the transitional cell tumors of the bladder.
