Abstract

The aim of this study is a stylistic analysis of Lawrence's women characters in Sons and Lovers, and to show the relevance of stylistic approach to the Leaching of literature in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes. The first chapter of this study is a detailed introduction of the. method used to analyse fiction and its usefulness in teaching literature and language. The second chapter deals with the setting of the novel which is very important in Lawrence's works. The third chapter is about Paul's relationship with his mother. The fourth chapter is about Miriam Leivers, who is one of the important women in Paul's life and development. The fifth chapter tells Paul's relationship with a married woman; Clara Dawes. The sixth chapter concerns the impact of these relationships on Paul's life. The seventh chapter is the conclusion, which gives a brief Summary of the whole study.
