Abstract
Bir ülkenin ekonomik,sosyal, kültürel ve demokratik kalkınmasında sorumluluk merkezi idareler kadar başta belediyeler olmak üzere yerel idarelere de düşmektedir. Bu çerçevede, belediyelerin üstlendiği çağdaş fonksiyonları yerine getirmeleri finansman merkezli olmak üzere karşılaştıkları sorunların çözümü ile mümkün olabilir. Çünkü, altyapı, üstyapı, teknik ve personel gibi belediye sorunlarının da çözümü gerekli finansmanın temini ile mümkündür. Bu çalışmanın ise amacı KKTC’deki belediyelerin finansal sorunları üzerine araştırma yapmak ve bu yönde öneriler geliştirmektir
The economic, social, cultural and democratic development of a country is not only the responsibility of central government but the responsibility of the local governments as well, which are principally municipalities. In this respect, municipalities can only handle global and sophisticated functions if they are able to solve their problems. Unsurprisingly, the most vital problem is financial because the solution of other critical problems depends on financial capability. The main aim of this study is to conduct research on the financial problems of the municipalities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and make recommendations accordingly.
