Abstract
Renk, nesnelerden yansıyan veya ışık kaynağından gelen ışığın, göz ve beyin aracılığı ile bizde uyandırdığı duyum ve algılamadır. Yaşamımız boyunca renklerle iç içe olmamıza rağmen onları, tam anlamı ile sanat eğitimi derslerinden tanırız. Toplumun renk hakkındaki düşüncelerini ortaya çıkartmak için örnek grup olarak üniversite birinci sınıf öğrencileri seçilmiştir. Türk halkının genel yapısına ulaşabilmek için değişik bölgelerdeki altı üniversitede ellişer öğrenci örnek grup olarak belirlenmiştir. Tercih olarak onyedi çeşit renk sunulan testle, sorular iki grup halinde düzenlenmiş, ilk bölümde en çok tercih edilen ilk iki rengin yazılması istenmiştir. İkinci grupta ise bu sorularda belirtilen renklerin cinsiyet, yaş ve kişilik özellikleri yönünden etkilenip etkilenmediği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır
Color is the sensatian and perception that are created by the light which is reflected from objects or comes from a light source with the means of eye and brain. Although we live intertwined with colors through out our lifetime, we can only know about them from art education courses. In order to find out about the societie 's thoughts on color, univercity first year students were choosen as a sample group. Groups of fifty students each from six different univercities in different regions were determined. So that the general structure of Turkish people can be discovered The test composed of offering seventeen different colors and there were two groups of questions. The first section comprised of asking the students to write down the first two colors which they prefered. Whereas the second section attempts to determine whether the colors questioned are effected by; gender, age, and personality factors.
