Abstract
Sanat, insanın farklı malzeme ve yöntemler kullanarak, ifade etmek istediği duygu ve düşünceyi farklı sanat biçimleri üzerinden somutlaştırdığı bir alandır. Kullanılan malzemeye göre müzik, resim, heykel, mimari gibi farklı adlar alsa da, sonuçta hepsinin ortaya koyduğu yeni, görsel ya da işitsel bir nesne vardır ve o nesne, sanat yapıtı/eseri dediğimiz estetik bir nesne/obje yani bir sanat nesnesidir. Bu nesne, onu yaratan, sergileyen sanatçı ile onu seyreden, dinleyen, izleyen kısaca algılayan alımlayıcıyı iletişime sokan bir araçtır. Diğer bir deyişle, özne ile nesne arasındaki ilişkinin sağlayıcısıdır. Konu edindiğimiz sorun da tam burada başlamaktadır. Sanat yapıtının üretiliş, ortaya konuş biçim ve üsluplarının ciddi anlamda değişmesi, dönüşmesi onu sorunsallaştırmıştır. Sorunu ortaya koyan ise "Sanat nedir?", "Bu sanat yapıtı mıdır?" ya da "Bu nesneyi sanat yapıtı yapan nedir?" sorularının gündeme gelmesine neden olan örneklerin her geçen gün artıp yaygınlaşmasıdır. Modernizmle başlayan bu sorun, Marcel Duchamp'ın sanat eseri olarak adlandırdığı sıradan nesneler aracılığıyla sanatta yarattığı kırılma ile birlikte iyice netleşerek Postmodern döneme taşınmıştır. Benzer bir kırılma, müzikte John Cage ile yaşanmıştır. Cage, 4'33" adlı eseriyle bildiğimiz anlamdaki müzik eseri/yapıtı anlayışını derinden sarsmıştır. Biz bu tez araştırmasında, uzun süredir estetik bir sorun olarak karşımızda duran sanat yapıtının neliği'ni, hem sanatın genelinde hem de özellikle seçtiğimiz örnek aracılığıyla müzik sanatı üzerinden sorgulayacağız. Bu doğrultuda merkeze aldığımız 'sanat/müzik yapıtı'nı estetik bir bakış açısıyla, postmodern dönemin yoğun vi belirsizliği ile örtüşen Cage'in şans, ras(t)lamsallık-belirlenmemişlik anlayışıyla birlikte ortaya koymaya çalışacağız. Çalışmamız uzun süreli, yoğun kaynak tarama, inceleme, çözümleme ve alıntılama aşamalarından sonra yorum ve değerlendirmelerle oluşturulmuştur. Ulaşılan araştırma sonuçları birinci bölümde; ele alınan konunun yani sanat yapıtı/estetik obje/nesnenin1 estetik bağlantıları, ikinci bölümde; Postmodern dönem ve dönem sanatındaki/müziğindeki durumu, üçüncü bölümde ise John Cage'in müziği bestelemedeki felsefi yaklaşımı ve yöntemleri2 üzerinde durulmuştur. Dördüncü ve sonuç bölümünde ise elde edilen bilgiler ışığında, değişen sanat yapıtı anlayışı ile ilgili değerlendirme ve yorumlara yer verilmiştir.
Art is an area where people embody what they want to express through different art forms using different materials and methods. According to the material used, there are different names such as music, painting, sculpture, architecture, but ultimately there is a new visual or auditory object that all of them reveal and that object is an aesthetic object, that is an art object. This object is a tool that communicates it with the creating, exhibiting artist and the viewer who watches it, listens, watches it briefly recevier. In other words, it is the provider of the relationship between the subject and the object. The problem we are talking about is starting right here. The serious change and transformation of the production and the presentation and style of the artwork makes it problematic. The problem is that the examples that cause the questions of "What is art?", "Is this artwork?" or "What makes this object an artwork?" is increasing day by day. This problem, which started with modernism, became clearer and clearer with the breaks that was created by Marcel Duchamp who called the ordinary objects as artistic works and it moved to the postmodern turn. A similar break was experienced with John Cage in the music. Cage with his work called 4'33 " deeply shakened the understanding of the musical work. In this thesis research, we will interrogate the art work which is standing against us as an aesthetic problem for a long time, through both art and specially selected examples. In this perspective, we will try to put together the 'art / music work' we have centered on with an aesthetic point of view, along with the chance of viii Cage, which is overlapping with the intense uncertainty of the postmodern period, with the understanding of indeterminicy, coincides. Our work has been developed through comments and evaluations after a long period of intensive resource screening, analysis, analysis and citation. The results of the research are as follows; The first part of the research results are based on the aesthetic connection of the art work / aesthetic object / object discussed, in the second section; the postmodern period and period art / music, in the third part, John Cage's philosophical approach and and methods in the art of composing music are emphasized. In the fourth and conclusion section, the information obtained is summarized by evaluating and commenting on the changing works of art.
