Abstract
Coğrafya öğretiminde birçok yöntem ve teknik kullanılabilir. Coğrafya öğretiminde kullanılabilecek yöntem ve tekniklerden biri de eğlenceli coğrafi bilgiler kullanarak öğretimdir. Eğlenceli coğrafya, anlatılan konuyla ilgili yerelde ya da uluslararası alanda ortaya çıkan ilginç ve ilgi çekici bilgilerin derslerde kullanılmasıdır denilebilir. Bu yöntem ya da teknik kullanıldığında öğrencilerin derse olan ilgisi daha yüksek olabileceğinden dolayı bu yöntem ya da teknik çalışmanın inceleme konusu olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, 9. sınıf ders kitabındaki doğal sistemler ünitesinin geleneksel yöntemle anlatılmasının yanı sıra ilginç, enteresan ve ilgi çekici coğrafi bilgilerle anlatılmasının ne derece katkı sağlayacağı incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, Bursa kent sınırları içerisinde görev yapan 50 coğrafya öğretmeniyle anket yapılmıştır ve yine aynı öğretmenlerle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yapılmıştır. Bu görüşmeler sonrasında doğal sistemler ünitesine yönelik olarak ilginç coğrafi bilgilerle destekli ders materyali geliştirilmiş ve öğretmenlerden bu materyalin derse olan olası katkısını değerlendirmeleri istenmiştir. Yapılan görüşmeler sonrasında elde edilen bulgular öğretmenlerin çoğunluğun bu ders materyalinin derslerde kullanımını destekler nitelikte cevaplar verdiği görülmüştür. Elde edilen bulgular göstermektedir ki, öğrenciler eğlenceli coğrafi bilgi kullanılarak öğretim yapıldığında derse daha fazla ilgi göstermektedir. Bu da öğrenmeyi artırabilir. Yapılan çalışmanın sonunda, bu konuyla ilgili öneriler sunulmuştur.
Many methods and techniques can be used in geography teaching. One of the methods and techniques that can be used in geography teaching is teaching by using entertaining geographic information. Fun geography can be said to be the use of interesting and interesting information about the subject in local or international area. When this method or technique is used, this method or technique has been the subject of study since the students' interest in the course may be higher. In this study, in addition to the traditional methodology of the natural systems unit in the 9th grade textbook, it is examined to what extent it will be explained with interesting, interesting and interesting geographical information. In this study, 50 geography teachers working in Bursa city were surveyed and semi-structured interviews were conducted with the same teachers. After these interviews, a course material was developed for the natural systems unit supported by interesting geographic information and teachers were asked to evaluate the possible contribution of this material to the course. The findings obtained after the interviews showed that the majority of the teachers gave answers in support of the use of this course material in the lessons. Findings show that students show more interest when teaching using entertaining geographic information. This can increase learning. At the end of the study, suggestions were made about this subject.
