Abstract
Bu makale, din, bilim ve felsefe arasındaki ilişki meselesini tartışır. Tillich, iki tür din kavramı arsında ayrım yapar. Temel ve evrensel olan ilk kavram, basit iki kelimeli nihaî ilgi ibaresi ile ifade edilebilir. İkincisi ya da daha dar anlamdaki din kavramı yani somut tarihi din ise, kendine has düşünce ve eylem sembolleri olan toplumsal bir gruptur. Tillich’e göre felsefe, bütüne (whole) yönelik bilişsel erostur. Bilim ve felsefenin din ile ilişkisi hakkında onun burada söylemek istediği her şeyin altında felsefenin bu anlamı yatar. Son olarak din ile bilim arasındaki çatışmanın gerçek temeli şudur: Kendine has dili olan nihaî boyut ile bilimsel dile hâiz sonlu ilişkiler boyutunun karıştırılması.
This paper discusses the problem of relationship among religion, science and philosophy. Tillich, distinguishes between two concepts of religion. The first concept can be expressed by a simple two-word phrase ultimate concern. Second concept or narrower concept of religion namely concrete historical religion is “a social group with symbols of thought and of action. According to Tillich, philosophy is the cognitive eros toward the whole. This meaning of philosophy underlies everyting he wants to say here both about science and about philosophy in their relation to religion. Finally, that is the real basis for the conflict between science and religion: the confusion of dimensions, the dimension of the ultimate with its language and the dimension of the finite interrelations with scientific language.
