Abstract
Batı dillerinden Türkçe'ye çevrilen ilk Mantık eseri Pasquale Galluppi'nin Lezioni di Logica adlı kitabıdır. Miftahü'l-Fünun adıyla çevrilen ve ilk baskısı 1861'de yayınlanan bu eserin mütercimi konusunda bugüne kadar tam bir görüş birliği sağlanamamıştır. Mantık tarihimiz üzerine yazılmış temel eserler bu konuyu çözmek yerine daha belirsiz hale getirmişlerdir. Miftahü'l-Fünun'un ilk baskısındaki metin incelemelerinden hareketle eserin müterciminin adının İoannes olduğu kesin olarak anlaşılmaktadır. İoannes Rum veya Latin kökenli bir Osmanlı olup Türk diline ve Mantık bilgisine son derece hakim bir aydındır. Fakat kimliği hakkında daha fazla bilgiye şimdilik sahip değiliz.
The first Logic work that translated from Western languages to Turkish is Pasquale Galluppi's book called Lezioni di Logica. By the time being there isn’t any aggement on consensus for the identity of translator of the book. It was translated as Miftahu'l-Funun and published it's first press in 1861. The main books on our history of Logic were became this matter ambiguous instead of solving it. For the text analysis of Miftahu'l-Funun's first press, it has been understood certainly that the translator of this book was Ioannes. Ioannes is an Ottoman intellectual whose origin is Greek or Latin and fairly aware of Turkish language and Logic knowledge. However we don't have more information about his identity until now.
